Marianela Gish
is a graduate of Getting to the Heart of Conflict and also The Master Class For Mediators, Harvard Negotiation Insight Initiative, Harvard School of Law. She has presented at the Conflict Resolution Education Network International Conference and has taught Restorative Justice at the University of New Mexico School of Law. She has trained thousands of students, teachers, and professionals in mediation and conflict resolution both nationally and internationally.
Ms. Gish has mediated a wide range of cases including victim offender and child protection issues, civil matters, organizational conflicts, family matters and custody issues, and multi-party gang conflicts. She worked for the New Mexico Center for Dispute Resolution (NMCDR) and also holds the first Stephen Sprague Cultural Diversity in Mediation Award from The New Mexico Mediation Association. Also Awarded a second time in 2011.
In 2005, the Community Victim Restoration Program at the Juvenile Justice Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, re-designed and managed by Marianela Gish, was nominated as Program Model for Sustainability by the National Office of Juvenile Justice Department Programs. Currently she is a co-chair for the New Mexico Bar Association ADR Committee for Conflict Literacy Education in the Schools and former Board Member for The American Society for Training and Development and faculty at Landmark Worldwide and appointed by the New Mexico Supreme Court as member of the newly formed Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission and former vice president of the New Mexico Mediation Association.
